A meeting held in Brussels yesterday comprised the EU Commissioner Federica Mogherini along with African Union High Representative for Libya Jakaya Kikwete, the Secretary of the League of Arab States Ahmed AbulGheit and the head of the UN Mission in Libya, Martin Kobler.

Following that meeting, they stressed in a final statement the need for a peaceful settlement of the political crisis in Libya, and the rejection of any foreign military intervention in the country.

During the press conference after yesterday's meeting they called on the various Libyan parties to work together to break the stalemate and return to a comprehensive political dialogue putting national interest before any personal interests .
