A visiting medical team from (MUNTADA AID UK) has started performing therapeutic and diagnostic catheterization operations for children with congenital heart anomalies, at the National Heart Center in Tajoura.

The Ministry of Health said on its Facebook page that this step comes within the framework of the agreement signed in 2018 between the organization and the center under the auspices of the Ministry's International Cooperation Office, adding that the agreement was approved by the Libyan Ministry of Health.

Under the agreement, the British medical team, which consisting of six surgeons, specialists and technicians, will perform 50 surgeries over seven days.
