The Secretary of State of the United States, Antony Blinken, said they had agreed with Egypt on the withdrawal of all foreign forces and mercenaries from Libya, adding in a joint press conference with his Egyptian counterpart, Sameh Shoukry, in Washington that it is very crucial that Libya elections are held on time.
The spokesman for the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, Ahmed Hafid, said Shoukry reiterated to Blinken the importance of holding presidential and parliamentary elections on time in December and the withdrawal of all foreign forces and mercenaries from Libya.
