The President of the United States Joe Biden has assigned his Vice President Kamala Harris to represent Washington at the International Conference on Libya in Paris, due to be held by the French presidency next month.

The spokesperson of Harris, Simone Sanders, revealed on Sunday that she will participate in the Paris conference on Libya on November 12, following her attendance of the fourth annual Paris Peace Forum on November 11.

During her visit to Paris, Harris is also set to meet with the French President Emmanuel Macron to discuss transatlantic relations, challenges to global peace and security, along with various issues affecting the Sahel region.
