Tajoura suburb of Tripoli saw the launch of the Western Region Beach Football Championship on Saturday.
The Beach Football Committee of the Libyan Football Federation organized the championship and eight clubs were registered from Sindbad, Sabratha, Surman, Janzour, Khoms, Tajoura, Jamiya and Siyahiyah.
The Eastern Region Championship will be held in the first week of September, and the players of the Libyan team will be selected from the best players of the two championships.
