The Interior Minister, Fathi Bashaga, held discussions with the Italian Ambassador to Libya, Guiseppi Buccino regarding the war waged by Haftar’s militias and mercenaries on the capital and the human loss and collateral damage which it has caused, whilst noting the intimidation waged against security forces.
These matters were discussed during a meeting which was held on Tuesday in Tripoli wherein bilateral relations between both countries was a topic, along with ways to address the situation of illegal immigration and its impact and implications on security, for both countries.
Although these were the major issues discussed, Bashaga and Buccino also touched on a number of other common concerns during their meeting.
