The Minister of the Interior of the Government of National Accord (GNA), Fathi Bashaga, held discussions with the Dutch ambassador to Libya, Lars Toomer on Friday, regarding plans to establish professional security coordination and opportunities for joint cooperation in the field of security training.

The two also discussed an exchange of information between both countries.

In the same context, Bashaga congratulated Toomers in tweet on the return of the Dutch Embassy and its partial resumption of work from the capital, expressing his thanks to Toomers for supporting human rights issues in Libya and the establishment of a fact-finding committee.

Bashaga confirmed the General Directorate of Diplomatic Security’s readiness to protect the embassies and diplomatic missions, expressing his sincere wish that the Dutch Embassy would be fully restored to its original capacity soon.
