The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Libya handed over two schools on Wednesday, one elementary and the other secondary in the city of Sabratha, having completed substantial renovations to the structures of the two schools.

The UNDP indicated that the step of maintaining the two schools, which accommodate approximately 700 students, is hoped to enhance local capabilities for strength and resilience to assist in recovery from the terrible effects of war.

It also stressed that these actions were carried out with the support of the European Union within the Baladiyati Program.
