The Commander of the Sirte-Al-Jufra Operations Room of the Libyan army, Ibrahim Bait Al-Mal, stated that the coastal road, ‘Misrata-Sirte’, will not be opened, unless and until all necessary conditions are met, expressly the removal of all mercenaries from the country.

Bait Al-Mal added in a press statement: “We will not open the coastal road until all mercenaries are removed and Haftar’s militias return to Al-Rajma.”

He stressed that the Presidential Council (PC), along with the appropriate representatives in the Military Committee have been informed of this situation.

The Commander asserted that they have three conditions for the opening of the coastal road, namely: A ceasefire, the clearance of mines, and the complete withdrawal of mercenaries from the country, emphasizing that the third condition has yet to be met.
