A meeting took place on Thursday between the Ministry of Interior and the National Center for Disease Control to discuss the procedures to be taken prior to reopening the land borders with Tunisia, concerning the confronting of the Coronavirus pandemic, as well as other health and security measures.

The Director of the National Center for Disease Control, Badr al-Din al-Najjar emphasized during the meeting on the necessity of providing PCR laboratories, which give results on the same day.

He also recommended other safety measures, such as conducting tests to those coming from the other side of the border, sterilizing and disinfecting all motor vehicles, goods and bags, and providing personal protective equipment for members working at the borders.
