The Audit Bureau has welcomed the economic reforms signed by the Presidential Council and the Central Bank of Libya, but raised doubts whether they would be implemented.

"We were surprised that the items signed are the same as in our repeated correspondence to the Presidential Council and the Central Bank of Libya since 2016, and after two years of rejection, the economic reforms are recognized with the same items that were refused in the past," Director of the General Administration for the Inspection of the Accounts of Institutions at the Audit Bureau, Ridha Kirgab said.

He expressed his hope that the reforms will be well managed, saying that if they were not implemented in the right way, they will have an adverse effect and would cause considerable problems.
