The head of the Audit Bureau, Khaled Shakshak, has issued a decision to halt two employees of the Central Bank of Libya (CBL) from working.

The reasons given for this decision is what he called their abuse of their authority, which is harming the interests of the state, and obstructing the Audit Bureau from carrying out its work, as well as their refusal to submit the documents required for examination and review.

The decision, issued Tuesday and signed by Shakshak, paves the way for the suspension of Mokhtar Al-Taweel, the Director of the Banking and Cash Control Department, and Abdul-Hafid Treble, the Deputy Director of Banking and Cash Control Department.
