A meeting was held at the Audit Bureau's HQ on Sunday to discuss the implementation of an integrated program to curb the fuel smuggling phenomenon.

The meeting was joined by the Audit Bureau Head Khaled Shakshak, Deputy Prime Minister Ramadan Abu Janah, and the Chairman of the Management Committee of the Brega Oil Marketing Company.

Shakshak stressed his office's keenness to combat fuel smuggling, saying that it exhausted the national economy.

The officials reviewed a presentation about a system designed to track fuel distribution via satellite.

Shakak highlighted the importance of this system in limiting fuel smuggling and recommended facilitating the procedures related to its implementation.
