The head of the Audit Bureau, Khaled Shakshak has said that international indicators on the phenomenon of corruption in Libya are inaccurate.

Shakshak explained in a press statement Tuesday that they are working in coordination with relevant agencies to fight corruption, noting that this struggle is an ongoing process that relies on government reform and ends with achieving accountability and non-impunity.

"The current circumstances of the lack of political, security, and institutional stability constitute an appropriate environment for the spread of corruption," he added.
