Head of Audit Bureau Khaled Shakshak accused the Governor of the Central Bank of Libya (CBL) to have encroached on the competences of the Ministry of Finance and overstepped his powers, saying that there is no legal provision that allows the CBL to control the Ministry of Finance.
Shakshak disclosed in a press statement of a formation of a committee to investigate the disruption of the 2018 budget, and to determine accountability at all levels, pointing out that proposals of fifty-three billion dinars for the budget have already been made but is still under consideration, in which the Audit Bureau has an observation on.
