The Libyan Audit Bureau requested the General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) to provide a list of pressing maintenance projects for the power stations, no later than next Monday, which should be ready before the next summer peak usage and which will contribute to adding 1000 megawatts to the grid.

This came during a meeting held on Monday, which included the head of the Audit Bureau, Khaled Shakshak, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of GECOL, Wiam Al-Abdali, the General Manager of GECOL, Ibrahim Al-Falah, along with various other members, in which the former stressed the need to treat the matter seriously in order to avoid potential failures which might occur during the summer peak usage.
