The High-level Committee of the African Union (AU) on Libya condemned the continuation of fighting south of Tripoli, calling for the need for measures to enhance the ceasefire accompanied by a monitoring mechanism in which the AU would be part of.
In a statement issued yesterday, the committee renewed its commitment to a Libyan political dialogue, and to speed up a comprehensive dialogue that brings together all Libyan parties to stop the conflict and search for a political solution, while taking into account the lofty interests of the Libyan people.
