The Arab Conference for Sports and Law concluded its work, Thursday, in Cairo, with the participation of the Libyan Olympic Committee.

The three-day conference was held under the title "Settling sports disputes between the judiciary and arbitration", with around 150 sport-related legal figures taking part from 10 Arab countries, including Libya's representative, Ezzeddin Al-Ghurabi.

Lectures covered topics on the importance of having a sports law and to settle sports disputes within the principles of the Olympic Charter, in addition to research papers and recommendations.

The conference ended with proposals for decision-makers and staff working in this area, including, establishing a legal sports entity under the name “Arab Sports Court” and to integrate anti-doping education into the university curriculum, in addition, to hold the conference annually in an Arab country.
