The Supreme Committee to Combat the Coronavirus held its 59th meeting to discuss the current epidemiological situation of the Coronavirus pandemic in the country.

The meeting was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Abd Al-Rahman Omair, the Head of the Scientific Advisory Committee to Combat the Coronavirus, Khalifa Al-Bakoush, the Head of the Supreme Committee to Combat the Coronavirus, Khaled Mazen, and the Director General of the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC), Badr Al-Din Al-Najjar.

During the meeting, which was held at NCDC’s HQ, Al-Bakoush presented a report on the epidemiological situation in general, as well as the problems related to isolation centers and the possibility of developing solutions to increase their capacity and readiness.

The meeting also touched on the problem of lack of funding to support the committee’s work in providing the isolation centers’ need, according to the NCDC official Facebook page.
