An image published by Amnesty International on its social media platforms has sparked anger amongst Libyans, who described it as an incitement to violence and hatred against Libya and Libyans.

A number of commentators on the image expressed their surprise at the publication by an organization claiming to defend human rights in a way that is offensive to Libyans, not to mention relying on what they referred to as fabricated reports that objective investigations have yet to prove credible.

The Arab account of the organization on Twitter and Facebook published an image depicting a mobile phone with the words “in Libya you can buy two people for the price of this phone”.
