A member of the Presidential Council (PC), Mohamed Ammari held discussions with Italian Ambassador to Libya, Giuseppe Buccino Grimaldi on Sunday on the initiative of holding parliamentary elections, in accordance with the constitutional declaration and the 2014 elections law.

The Media Department of the PC stated that the meeting between Ammari and Buccino reviewed the latest political and military developments in the country and the ongoing talks, along with challenges facing the recommencement of proper political process in Libya.

Both sides also discussed the bilateral relations between both countries and their friendly cooperation in many fields, particularly various economic projects, and most importantly, the education sector.
