The United States ambassador to Libya, Richard Norland, at a virtual meeting, discussed with the Director of the World Food Program (WFP) the aid which was provided to vulnerable families in Libya.

The US embassy in Libya stated on its Facebook page that Norland reaffirmed the United States support for the WFP and services provided by the United Nations assistance community working presently throughout Libya.

Norland together with the Director of the WFP expressed great concern regarding the impact of the Coronavirus pandemic on all humanitarian relief efforts, particularly in the south of the country.
