The ambassadors of France, Italy, the United Kingdom and the United States expressed their deep concern over the military clashes in Tripoli.

In a joint statement, the ambassadors stressed that such actions are destabilizing the situation in the country and endangering the lives of innocent civilians.

The ambassadors explained that any attempt to undermine the security of Libya is unacceptable, stressing that the international community is monitoring the situation closely and warned of any further escalation.

They also called upon all parties to exercise restraint, restore calm and to work towards a peaceful solution, stressing that those who undermine Libya's peace, security and stability will be held accountable.
