Representatives of the Amazigh, Tebu and Tuareg tribes have rejected the constitutional track ongoing in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.

They stressed the need to build any constitutional path on the basis of equality and consensus among all Libyan components.

In a statement, at the end of the National Day of Tebu Culture, on Thursday, they accused some parties of dominating the constitutional process in Cairo, between delegations of the House of Representatives and the High Council of State.

They called on the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, which is sponsoring the Cairo track, to change its policies and abide by international conventions on the rights of indigenous peoples, according to the statement.
