Health authorities have decided to reopen the Ali Omar Askar Hospital for Neurosurgery located south of Tripoli, which was closed due to Haftar's aggression on the region

The hospital’s media office said on Monday that the new management has fully assumed its duties after the previous steering committee handed over its tasks to the military medical service.

The hospital will open by the 3rd of January, and staff will be back to serve patients in several specializations, including outpatient clinics, emergency departments, nephrology service, electroencephalogram (EEG), endoscopy, physiotherapy, gynecology, newborns, child care, in addition to carrying out surgeries.
