Interim Algerian President Abdelkader Bensalah has condemned the exclusion of Libyans and neighboring countries from international initiatives aimed at resolving the conflict in Libya, calling on the conflicting parties to give priority to the national interest.

In his speech Saturday at the Non-Aligned Summit in Azerbaijan, Bensaleh emphasized Algeria's conviction of the importance of dialogue as a resolution to disputes, emphasizing his country's commitment to the fundamental principles of the United Nations and law.

He also reiterated his call on the Libyan parties to put the interest of the Libyan nation above and to engage in the efforts aimed at finding a comprehensive peaceful solution.
