The Algerian President, Abdelmadjid Tebboune conducted on Monday, a two-day official visit to Cairo, where he will discuss with his Egyptian counterpart, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, a common approach to restore stability to Libya.

During the visit, which is the first by an Algerian president in more than two decades to Egypt, Tebboune is scheduled to hold talks with El-Sisi on several files and issues, foremost of which are Libya, Syria's return to the Arab League, the Arab summit to be held in Algeria, and the Palestinian reconciliation conference.

Consultations on the Libyan file, with the need for joint coordination between neighboring countries, are the most important issues on the table, especially after the Libyan elections were postponed indefinitely and the expulsion of mercenaries and foreign forces from the country failed.
