Algerian foreign minister Sabri Boukadoum has reiterated his country’s call for an immediate ceasefire in Libya, a Libyan-Libyan solution and adherence to UN Security Council arms embargo on the country.

In a joint press conference with UN envoy to Libya Ghassan Salame in Algiers, Boukadoum said his country backs the action plan of the UN mission in Libya to solve the crisis politically, ruling out the military solution, which he described as “delusion”.

The Algeria top diplomat also called the local and international parties to return to the political process under the auspices of the UN mission.
