The Algerian President Abdelmajid Tebboune said his country had proposed to Libya holding elections in every region separately, adding that the proposal was made to all Libyan officials who had visited the country lately.

Tebboune told a state-owned Algerian TV channel that elections may not be held on one day, but in 20-day intervals and in every region separately, saying the goal was to hold the elections in good environment and to add credibility to the winners.

Tebboune said there are some parties that are hindering the solution process in Libya, saying December deadline for elections is approaching fast.
