Italian Foreign Minister, Angelino Alfano, stated on Friday that supporting economic and legal projects is the most important challenge facing his country in refugee camps in Libya.

In a press conference with the European Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs, Alfano stated that the EU should help Libya meet these challenges.

During his meeting on the sidelines of a conference on international humanitarian law, the European Commissioner praised Italy's positive role on immigration issues and their response to the situation in Libya.
