Libya’s permanent representative to the United Nations, Taher Al-Sunni, commenting on the signing of the ceasefire agreement, said that the success of any political solution to the Libyan crisis must include confidence-building measures, achieving transitional justice, restitution and comprehensive national reconciliation.

Al-Sunni welcomed in a tweet all efforts to avoid bloodshed, pointing out that there would be, however, no compromise on holding those who have committed war crimes and crimes against humanity accountable, which will not be subject to any statute of limitations, as he put it.
