The Head of the High National Elections Commission (HNEC) Emad Al-Sayeh has told the Head of the Presidential Council Fayez Al-Sirraj that there are technical issues that must be tackled by the government before going into presidential and parliamnetary elections in 2018 in Libya.

Al-Sayeh said in a meeting with  Al-Sirraj in Tripoli that the HNEC needs the assistance of international expertise so it can be prepared to hold such a privilege as the elections and the referendum on the Libyan constitution.

On the other hand, Al-Sirraj told the Head of the HNEC that his government will provide the necessary assistance for the commisision so it can do its work in a professional and transparent manner.
