The Chairman of the High National Elections Commission (HNEC), Imad Al-Sayeh, has discussed with the ambassador of Netherlands to Libya, Dolf Hogewoning, aspects of the technical support provided through the United Nations Development Program (UNDP)’s Promoting Elections for the People of Libya (PEPOL) project.
Both sides reviewed the HNEC's future support plans, the challenges facing the electoral process, and its level of readiness to implement the elections.
For his part, the Dutch ambassador affirmed his country's support to reach the elections, stressing their keenness to hold the elections in accordance with the highest international standards.
