The Chairman of the Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Sarraj, reiterated the necessity for proper ground and air surveillance in order to correctly implement the arms embargo on Libya as outlined, adding that such monitoring should not be limited to the sea.

According to the Presidential Council’s Media office, Al-Sarraj’s comments came during his meeting with the United Nations Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres at the United Nations headquarters in Geneva.

Al-Sarraj pointed out, in these talks, the violations which are taking place with regard to the UN’s No. 2510 Resolution, calling for intensive work to stop such violations occurring.
