The Head of the Presidential Council (PC), Fayez Al-Sarraj and the Italian Prime Minister, Giuseppe Conte, stressed that the political solution to the Libyan crisis is based on the outcomes of the Berlin Conference and through three key issues, security, economic and political tracks.

During a meeting on Thursday in Rome, the two parties discussed a number of matters of joint cooperation, which include areas of security, defense and economy.

They also discussed follow-up matters on the measures taken for the safe return of Italian companies to resume their previous activities in Libya, and also the implementation of a number of joint projects previously agreed upon, particularly in regard to combating illegal immigration, human trafficking amongst other issues.
