The High Council of State's (HCS) Head Khalid Al-Mishri said the HCS is prioritizing the constitutional basis in order to reach the holding of general elections on time on December 24, 2021.
The remarks came in a meeting for Al-Mishri with the UN envoy to Libya, Jan Kubis, in Tripoli, where they discussed the latest developments in political issues and the constitutional track.
Kubis reiterated that the UN shared the same viewpoint with the international community and the HCS regarding the proposed tracks, stressing the need to hold elections in next December.
The meeting also reviewed the agreements of the HCS and the House of Representatives in Hurghada, Egypt and the HCS's approval of the agreements that were sent to the House of Representatives.
