The Head of the High Council of State (HCS) Khalid Al-Mishri held talks with the Mauritanian Foreign Minister Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed on Friday, regarding the latest developments and present situation in Libya and possible ways to solve the crisis in the country.

The two parties confirmed the need for mutual cooperation between the countries of the African Union (AU) and the Maghreb Union in order to reach a peaceful solution to the Libyan crisis.

They also discussed the rejection of a military solution and the negativity of interference by foreign parties in Libya; as released in a statement by the HCS.
