President of the High Council of State, Khaled Al-Mishri, held discussions on Tuesday, with Italian ambassador to Libya, Giuseppe Buccino, regarding developments of the political and military situation in the country.
The meeting attended by the Council’s Second Vice President, Safwan Al-Masuri, reviewed the damage done by Haftar’s attack and the implications of the aggression.
The two sides also reviewed the initiatives and policies proposed for the ceasefire, as well as opportunities for resuming the political dialogue, creating a favorable environment for its success, and Italy’s role in moving the political process forward.
