The Head of the High Council of State (HCS), Khaled Al-Mishri, discussed with the Italian ambassador to Libya, Giuseppe Buccino, the present political developments in the country.
During the meeting, Al-Mishri expressed the importance of having a firm grasp on the holding of elections in the country in a manner which ensures that they succeed and that nobody can contest the results, stressing the Libyan people’s absolute right to a referendum on the constitution.
Buccino confirmed his country’s support for the Libyan political dialogue, along with all efforts aimed at forming a national unity government which would pave the way for elections and the road to permanent stability.
