The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Najla Al-Manqoush, has discussed with the new Italian Foreign Minister, Antonio Tajani, ways to enhance the prospects of bilateral cooperation between the two countries in several different fields.

This came during a phone call, in which Al-Manqoush congratulated the Italian Minister for assuming his position.

The two sides also discussed the file of border guards, confronting illegal immigration, and the return of Italian companies to complete the construction of pending projects, including Tripoli International Airport.

For his part, Tajani affirmed his country's support for the efforts of the Government of National Unity to reach the presidential and parliamentary elections as soon as possible.
