The Vice President of the Presidential Council (PC), Abdullah Al-Lafi, discussed on Tuesday, with the German ambassador to Libya Michael Uhnmacht, the latest developments on the political scene in Libya, including the file of the elections due to be held next December.

Al-Lafi, during the meeting, which was held in Tunisia, praised what he described as the positive role of Germany towards the Libyan file, through the Berlin meetings and its work from the onset to adopt peaceful solutions towards the Libyan issue, according to a statement by the PC.

Al-Lafi added that the PC is determined to proceed with holding the presidential and parliamentary elections as scheduled, along with the comprehensive national reconciliation project.
