The Deputy Head of the Libyan Presidential Council, Mossa Al-Koni, said they are preparing a meeting for the Foreign Minister Najla Al-Mangoush and her Algerian counterpart, Sabri Boukadoum, as well as a number of businesspersons to discuss preliminary resumption of trade exchange via joint borders between Libya and Algeria.

Al-Koni said on Twitter Tuesday that he appreciated the quick response of the Algerian Foreign Minister regarding speeding up the reopening of Ghadames and Ghat borders as their closure had had a negative impact to the residents in border towns.

Al-Koni and Al-Mangoush visited Essin border crossing between Libya and Algeria in the presence of Ghat customs department's chief who asked for support ahead of reopening.
