The Minister of Economy and Trade, Muhammad ِl-Hawij, says that the results of bread and flour samples conducted in Germany confirm the ministry's previous statement that there was no potassium bromate in the flour and bread circulating in the local market.

"Potassium bromate has been banned in the local market since 2005," the minister said in a statement to a local TV channel.

The Center for Food and Drug Control confirmed earlier that the results of analyzes of flour and bread samples in laboratories in Germany proved that they are free of potassium bromate.
