"There is currently no army in Libya," said the spokesman of the Ministry of Defense of the UN-proposed government, Brigadier General Mohamed Al-Ghosri; adding that “the Libyan people are in need of building a capable military force.”

Al-Ghosri was reacting to the statement of Wanis Boukhamada, the commander of the Special Forces of Dignity Operation, in which he urged the forces of Al-Bunyan Al-Marsoos to join in unity with Khalifa Haftar’s self-styled army.

In a statement to Libya Ahrar TV, Al-Ghosri went on to condemn the Presidential Council’s indifference to the sacrifices of Al-Bunyan Al-Marsous made whilst fighting and eventually expelling ISIS elements from Sirte, going further to say "future governments will come and erect a large monument in memory of Al-Bunyan Al-Marsoos."
