Al-Ahly Tripoli is through to the African Confederation Cup semi-finals after defeating Al-Ittihad 1-0 at the Benina Martyrs Stadium in the second leg of the quarter-finals on Sunday.

The two teams ended the first leg match with a 0-0 draw before Al-Ahly beat Al-Ittihad in the return game thanks to Ayoub Ayyad's strike in the 19th minute of the first half.

Al-Ahly will play the South African Orlando Pirates, who advanced to the semi-finals after beating the Tanzanian Simba in the away game. The match was decided on penalty kicks which they won by 4-3.
