The Airports Authority of the Ministry of Transport of the Government of National Accord (GNA) said on Wednesday its in preparations for hosting the first flight of Tunisair in Libyan Airports, which should be before the end of this month after an interruption of more than six years.

The Authority added that arrangements were made for a specialized delegation from the Tunisian side to visit on November 21 to assess the readiness of both Mitiga and Benina International Airports to receive flights.

Last Friday, both Libya and Tunisia agreed to open all land borders and to conduct air transport between the two countries following the closure of the land borders and airspace for eight months due to the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic.
