Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Council Ahmed Maiteq met on Monday with a delegation from the European Parliament, where he stressed the need to implement concrete programs and projects on the ground.

He also insisted on the importance of creating a spatial development in the states of origin to reduce the flow of illegal migrants to the north, in addition to the necessity to activate the previous agreements with EU countries in the fight against immigration and border control.

For his part, the EU delegation expressed its readiness to provide the necessary technical support for the electoral process and the exchange of experience in this field, as well as other fields that Libya needs.
