The United States Africa Command, AFRICOM, has expected a possible attack by ISIS in the coming period on the oil crescent, located in central Libya.
Spokesman for AFRICOM Command, Robyn Mac, expected in a press statement on Wednesday that ISIS will maintain its current strategy focused on rebuilding its operational capacity to attempt to destabilize the country and block the political process in Libya, stressing that the United States stands with the Libyans and supports their efforts to combat terrorist threats.
