The US Africa Command (AFRICOM) has announced the transfer of some of its troops in Libya, temporarily, due to the security conditions on the ground.

"The security situation in Libya is becoming increasingly complex and unpredictable," Commander of AFRICOM, Gen. Thomas Waldhauser stated, explaining that they are conducting military planning in response to the development on the ground while at the same time they will continue to assess the security situation in Libya.

He also emphasized that AFRICOM leadership is committed to a secure and stable Libya and that they will continue to do their part in supporting the Libyan people and their government, according to the statement.
