Representatives of the ministries of youth in the African continent last week, held a virtual meeting to better understand the impact of Covid-19 on the population of Africa, and in particular on the youth sector.

Libya was represented by the director of youth and sports affairs, Saleh Al-Gharyani, and director of the international Cooperation Office, Abdullah Al-Huni of the General Authority for Youth and Sports.

The participants discussed several topics, including the current situation of Covid-19 in Africa and how it is affecting the livehoods of many families and communities in the continent.

The meeting also offered a platform to share knowledge and experience that would feed into the strategic preparedness and response plans for the novel coronavirus.
